Bart and Tracy drove. We started our hike from McNeily Road at 8:20 a.m. We could not have asked for a better day for hiking. 17 degrees, sunny, a nice breeze = perfect conditions! The trail was actually a bit muddy in a few spots, but nothing ever compares to our first hike, Sept 2012 leaving from Queenston Heights. :-) Jackie mentioned today, "after that first hike, it is a wonder we kept going" but here we are 10 hikes later, and almost 100 kms hiked on the Bruce Trail!
None of us had ever been to Felker's Falls, and it is in our backdoor! If you are on Mud Street turn north on Paramount Dr., turn right on Acklnd St. and you will see the parking lot. A nice afternoon hike would be to go to Felker's Falls and then continue on the trail and do the side trail to Devil's Punch Bowl Conservation area.
